You could embrace everyone in an aura of kindness that, whether intended or not, may even be alluring to some. But once someone tries to cross borders against your better interests, that “nice” person is often no longer “nice”. Here and there, you start to reveal pieces of a different side of you; of hardness, of ignorance, of an ice cold reality check that reminds you that sometimes, your kindness doesn’t equate to care, or love, or any desire to be associated with another more than is necessary. Like so, even the kindest person in the world could break you. Why? Because there’s no kind way of rejecting someone. There’s never a kind way of saying “go away”.
